Poshmark, a fashion e-commerce platform based in Redwood City, California, is known as the overseas version of "idle fish". Consumers can place bids on products ranging from used T-shirts to high-end women's clothing and private labels.

There is a wide range of items on Poshmark, with over 25 million products from over 5,000 brands, including products from well-known brands such as Nike, MK, LV, Lululemon, Coach and Chanel. The platform is dedicated to providing consumers with personalized clothing advice, and even has independent stylists who give consumers expert fashion advice.

Poshmark's user base has grown rapidly since the release of its iOS-based iPhone terminal in 2011. in 2012, Poshmark had 20 employees, and users on its existing terminals, iOS apps and web terminals, uploaded products for sale totaling more than $100 million annually, of which 251 TP3T were ultimately able to successfully get sold. According to its internal data, 70% of its customers who have purchased from Poshmark in turn become Poshmark sellers.

Poshmark's business model is also different in that it looks more like social media than a marketplace platform. Users are invited to browse their friends' items, as well as see what other people are buying.Poshmark doesn't source any of its inventory, but instead wants its platform to mimic the in-store shopping experience, complete with stylists and a large selection of items to choose from. Currently about 1/3 of the items sold on Poshmark's platform are new.

For items consigned on the platform, Poshmark charges a commission of 20%. This commission rate is relatively high for the industry, but Poshmark has attracted a large number of loyal users by providing personalized service and simulating the brick-and-mortar shopping experience.

The process of selling items on Poshmark is very simple: first list the products you want to sell, then take a photo of the product directly from your phone, price it, and list it in 60 seconds; then share information about the item with your followers and use a daily themed fashion party to help shoppers discover information about your item; and finally the item can be tagged with prepaid labels provided by the platform, which will make shipping the item easy and you can earn cash once the item is delivered.

Poshmark also offers additional services such as protected payments, merchandise authentication services, and emergency shipping to ensure a great shopping experience for consumers.
