China UMS, known as UnionPay Commerce Co., Ltd. is a nationwide company controlled by China UnionPay, which is mainly responsible for specialized bank card acquiring services. The company was founded in December 2002 and is headquartered in Shanghai. Since its establishment, under the guidance of the People's Bank of China and China UnionPay, China UMS has been committed to the construction of China's bank card acceptance market, endeavoring to improve the bank card acceptance environment, solving the payment convenience of citizens and enhancing the efficiency of enterprise's capital operation.

UnionPay Business has always prioritized social responsibility, paying great attention to business risks and the safety of citizens' and enterprises' funds. On May 26, 2011, UnionPay obtained the first batch of Payment Business Licenses issued by the People's Bank of China (PBOC), covering payment business types such as bank card acquiring, Internet payment and prepaid card acceptance. The issuance of this Payment Business License reflects the full recognition of the regulators of UnionPay's business model and compliance measures, and creates more favorable development conditions for the company to expand its service areas and improve its service level.
